Chrysalis Fetal Sculptures

What is a Chrysalis Fetal Sculpture?

A Chrysalis Fetal Sculpture is a unique work of art created using your baby's ultrasound data. Our artists digitally "sculpt" your baby's image from that ultrasound data and then render it into a high-quality sculpture that will last for generations to come. Our sculptures come in Keepsake and Heirloom sizes.

What is Special About a Chrysalis Fetal Sculpture?

Unlike the pictures commonly received with an Ultrasound scan, a Chrysalis Fetal Sculpture will last for generations. Thermal and photographic images will fade with time. Even digital copies of images may be unreadable when file formats and storage media become obsolete. A Chrysalis Fetal Sculpture is a work of art that can always be on display. You don't have to open a photo album, load a disc or download a file from the cloud.

What is the Difference between a Keepsake and Heirloom Sculpture?

Both Keepsake and Heirloom sculptures are digitally sculpted by hand based upon your baby's ultrasound data. A Keepsake sculpture measures up to 3" in each dimension, on a 5" base. An Heirloom sculpture measures up to 4" in each dimension, on a 6 3/4" base. They both have similar levels of detail, although some additional detail may be visible on the larger, Heirloom sculpture.

What are the requirements for Ultrasound Providers?

If you are an Ultrasound Provider and would like to enable your patients to have a Chrysalis Fetal Sculpture, here is what you will need:

  • An Ultrasound machine capable of exporting a three-dimensional volume data set to a format that can be converted to DICOM standard
  • All three-dimensional ultrasound images must be performed by a single sweep or “static” 3D technique
  • Data of the three-dimensional fetal image may be burned onto a disc or loaded onto a flash drive
  • Disc or flash drive may be mailed or uploaded and sent electronically to fetalsculpture.com
We are happy to work with any Ultrasound provider. If you would like to become a permanent provider of the Chrysalis Fetal Sculpture network, including promotional advantages, please contact us at the link below.
